Flak Stelle De Garst, Wn 101L / 145H
Along the Nieuweweg at the east side you can see some small dunes were an aniti aircraft battery (Flak battery) is located.
Near the airfield De Kooy the Germans placed a light anti aircraft battery with three 2cm guns and a searchlight of 60cm on top and inside Vf. bunkers.
The numbers has changed during the war from 101L air force (Luftwaffe) to an army number 145H (Heeres)
After the war the complex was used by the Dutch air force for radio communications.
Nowadays it's used for some storage of offshore equipment. Therefore you'll have to ask permission at the owner of the land and also because of the security people who are controlling the complex.
